Favorite course and why?
Choreography was my favorite subject in the program. I've always enjoyed choreographing dances, but in in this class we actually learned the technical aspects of choreographing. In addition to that, we had to think outside of the box; create something new, as opposed to putting together steps or a series of steps that already exist.
It was hard to choose one favorite memory, and as I was narrowing it down, I realized they all had something in common. Every time we were given something new to do, we were all a little uncomfortable and hesitant, but every time, all of us would really commit to it. That obviously made it a lot easier, and a lot more fun. We felt a little bit awkward at first, but eventually we realized all of us felt that way, so we just went full out from there. Those are my favorite memories from the program.
Something new we've learned:
I learned to step out of my comfort zone, and try new things. What am I gonna lose?
Describe your media project:
My media project is about the four elements: water, earth, fire, and air. I'm wanting to show each element individually through dance and through the actual element. At the end, I'll bring them all together, explaining that all four elements are not separate, but connected.
"Give it a try,"
whispered the heart.
