Having a director who has spent her life studying Contact Improvisation is such a huge bonus!! Getting to have in featured in Dance Studio Life is just icing on the cake :)
Summer Study

Shelf Elf Dancing Day Camp
We were thrilled to offer the community an exciting day "camp" adventure with Twinkle (our resident Elf), while parents had a chance to do some last minute Holiday shopping and tree trimming. With over 20 people, the camp was a huge success! Campers took part in technique class, movement games, an Elf scavenger hunt, holiday crafts, letters to Santa, a VIP movie on the big screen, and even a special visit from the big man himself! It truly was a magical day to remember...
Big River Dance Festival 2015
JDG hosted the first annual Big River Dance Festival in Huntington, WV! We were blessed to bring in over 50 artists from all over the East Coast, offer 2 live performances, a variety of master classes, several community workshops, and the first in the area Dance Film Festival. It was an electirc event full of collboration and energy...we are already planning the next one!
Project Plie
Jeslyn Performing Arts Center joins with American Ballet Theatre to offer Project Plie in our local Boys & Girl Clubs. Assistant Artistic Director, Summer O. Logan, and JPAC students are featured inside the Boys & Girls Club August of 2015. JPAC became an orginial member of this program when Jessica Lynn Fox and Summer O. Logan began their ABT certification program in 2012. Both instructors are honored to bring this Curriculum to the Huntington, WV tri-state area. JDGYB is extremely honored to be a community partner with Project Plie beginning in 2016 with the boys and girls club with an ongoing program option for the boys and girls club.
Every Hero Has A Story: Library Performance Series 2015
In collorboration with artists Summer O. Logan, Maggie Jackson & Robin Conley, I was commissoned to create a cross curricular modern dance performance incoorporating movement and children's literature. The show's theme, "Every Hero Has A Story" featured Michael Recycle by Ellie Bethel, Do Super Heros Have Teddy Bears? by Carmela LaVigna Coyle, and Ten Rules of Being a SuperHero by Deb Pilutti. The final performance featured dance, narration, props, costumes, and an interactive section for kids!
