Dancing Days Summer Camp!

Join us for 1 day, a couple days...or the whole week! No matter your selection, campers are sure to have a darling time at our Dancing Days Summer Camp! Each day follows a particular theme and takes campers through movement, storytelling, and magical memories sure to get their summer off to an epic start!

June 24th - 28th:

Harry Potter Hogwarts Camp

9:30am-2pm · Grades 2-4 · $200

Grab your broomstick and fly to 4th Avenue Arts for a magical week at Hogwarts! Campers will get sorted into houses, make their own wands at Olivander's, attend potions class, herbology, divinations, learn to duel magical beasts through wizard (stage combat) training, and travel down "Diagon Alley" to a local pub for some tasty butter beer! Hogwarts themed robes are encouraged but not required!

Grades 2-4: Speciality courses in Potions, Fantastic Beasts & Wizard Duels 

Grades 5-8: Speciality courses in the Dark Arts, Divinations, & the Tri-Wizard Tournament

July 8th - 12th:

Mini Movers: Fairytales & Folklores!

9:30am-12pm · Ages 3-5 years · $150 · Donor Discount Price  · $125

Here ye here ye! Come one come all to this most wonderful week of camps where every Princess, Prince, Fairy, & Wizard will come to life in the timeless fables from the past. Students will go on an imaginative journey each day, exploring stories from around the world, and moving in exciting ways with friends and special guest performers right out of the stories! This week culminates in an end of the week lunchtime showing for family and friends on Friday July 12th at noon on our main stage theatre!

July 13th:

Mary Poppins Day Camp!

"Today or Never...that's my motto" and it's ours too! Don't miss your chance to be a part of a ONE day only summer adventure that is sure to be practically perfect in every way! The day will include dancing inspired by the film, a kite themed craft, a positively magical tea party, and a private screening of the movie on the big screen!

July 29th - August 2nd:

Skate Dance Summer Camp

Location: Roll-a-Rama

9:30am-12pm · Ages 6-18 years · $150  · Donor Discount Price  · $140

This summer is about to get EPIC! We are combining two of our favorite things dance...and roller skating! Join us for the first ever Skate Dance Summer Camp and bring your BFF to the rink for 5 days of non stop F.U.N! Campers will learn some fancy footwork like crab walk and the crazy leg, while having a blast with the D.J. beats each day! Time will be spent on and off the skates so all levels feel comfortable throughout the week! Camp fees include daily skate rental, open skate time, and individual skate and dance lessons throughout the week!

August 5th - 9th:

2019 Summer Dance Intensive

9:30am-5pm · Ages 8-18years · $275 · Donor Discount Price · $225

4th Avenue Arts week long summer intensive partners with students ready to fully immerse into their technical and artistic training. This full day environment is set up to support students in a community of like-minded peers, trained by highly skilled and educated faculty and guest artists. Trainees will receive building blocks that enhance their academic, technical, and  professional ways of working within the dance and performing arts world. Consider this intensive a pre-college intensive, priced much lower than other comparable intensives, as our goal is to make the arts accessible in our region. 

While no audition is required to attend the intensive, students will be split into a junior and senior level group based on both age and ability for the technical classes, and all students and faculty work together in a judgement free zone to promote each student's artistic growth and progression forward in a positive way. 

This intensive includes an informal family and friends showcase on Friday August 9th during the final day of camp.

Camp Notes: ​

• Students attending the 2019 Summer Dance Intensive will be invited to audition for the upcoming season for the JDG Youth Ballet Company. Selected dancers will be mailed letters following the camp to reserve an audition spot.

• Donor Discount Pricing is reserved for donors at the $100 level and up. If you wish to receive this pricing you can make a donation via the online store.

• Mini Movers Camps include an Allergy Friendly Snack, longer day campers are invited to pack an allergy friendly lunch for the day, no refrigeration is provided! 

• Select camps include exciting Character Appearances! 

• Camps are kept small to ensure a high student to faculty ratio! 

• Many Summer Camps book to full capacity. Early registration is recommended!

• Registration will not be accepted for students outside the designated age range.

• Drop Off/Pick Up Policy: Daily Drop Off: 9:15-9:30am, Daily Pick Up: 15 minute window following each camp. Late Pick Up: $10 charge after the 15 minute pick up window has past as well as a $1 charge for each additional minute after.

• All camps must be paid in full to reserve a spot.

• Each camper must complete an online registration form.

• Camp/Workshop tuition is non-refundable/exchangeable.
